The Goat Shed remodel! When we moved to the property in 2014, this building was already there. My other half wanted to tear it down and rebuild, but it turned out the building was not in as bad of shape as we thought. Slowly but surely we are improving the building, first by adding pens inside, then re-doing the lean and adding electric, then we put steel on the whole thing and added another pen and expanded the pen on the lean.

Field Trips!Occasionally the local Veterinary Technician Program comes out to the farm and works on the goats. They learn to handle/restrain them, trim hooves, deworm them, draw blood and do physicals on all the herd members. I appreciate the work these students do and welcome them out whenever they want to join us.
I do allow this to be done in order for the future techs to practice and be prepared for possibly working with goats in the future. |
The Goats out and about! Our goats do a lot in regards to being with the public. We have attended fundraisers for a local PD and their quest for a new dog, the Bark-4-Life and Relay for life, we walked in honor of my dad. We have also gone to pictures with santa, our local humane society's companion walk and much, much, more! I love getting them out and about to educate people!
