Deposits- A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due 7 days after the buyer agrees to purchase the animal. If the deposit is not received within those 7 days the animal will go back up for sale. A deposit may be returned if the animal becomes sick or dies within my care. This is also not refunded if the buyer backs out for any reason. I do reserve the option to stop a sale at anytime if I feel its in the best interest of the animal(s) or myself. If this is the case, I will return the deposit. I am also not responsible for those buying from out of state. It is your responsibility to find out regulations for interstate travel. If a health certificate is required it is done at an extra cost to the buyer (not included in purchase price).
Microchipping- All goats that are born on our farm will be microchipped at no cost to the buyer. These microchips are registered with the scrapie program. I can tattoo or tag your goat for you before you leave my farm if you wish. (every breeding goat is required to be tagged/tattooed/or microchipped for the scrapie program)
Reserving/waiting list- I do offer a waiting list, this list is first come first serve but, I also reserve the right to retain any kids born here before they are offered to the public. So if your name is the first on my list, you get the first option of babies, if the goat is not what you are looking for, it will be offered to the next in line. Please email me if you want to get on our waiting list!
Disbudding/banding- All kids here at Riverside Fainters will be disbudded at 7 to 10 days old. This will be done by our vet at no cost to the buyer. I will leave horns on kids if the buyer wants, but a deposit of the full purchase price is required. If you are interested in a wether, I can arrange for banding to be done before you pick the goat up. Once again, if I choose to leave an animal intact, but the buyer would like it wethered, a deposit of the full purchase price is required.
Delivering- Sometimes I may be able to deliver/meet a buyer with a goat. This all depends on our schedule and if it works for us. If we do make arrangements to delilver/meet with a goat, there will a charge for gas money.
Registering- All doelings/bucklings that are breeding quality will be registered before leaving my farm. I can also send a form along for those of you purchasing wethers if you would like them registered. While we register the goats at a young age, we cannot guarantee their eyes will stay as blue when we registered. Pet Quality animals will not have a MGR registration form provided and will not be registered by myself.
Pick Up- Pickup dates will be discussed between us and the buyer and scheduled when it works best. Goats will be ready to go around 10 weeks old. Final payment must be in cash only
Disease Testing- Our goats are tested annually and we will provide/send home paperwork stating our goats are negative with every kid purchased.
NO Single Goat Sales- I do believe that goats are happier with others than by themselves. For this reason I will not sell a goat to you unless you have other goats at home.
WE are NOT responsible for any goats or kids after they leave our farm.
**WE DO ASK THAT YOU DO NOT BRING YOU DOG WITH YOU WHEN YOU VISIT/COME TO PICK UP YOUR GOAT, WE HAVE OUR OWN DOGS, AND OUR GOATS ARE NOT USED TO STRANGE DOGS. IT STRESSES BOTH OUT.**
